Processing of Symbolsets
Symbols can be generated, inspected with the preview function an edited via the graphical user interface.

Processing of SLD
Besides mapfiles it will be possible to generate and edit user-defined symbols as styled layer descriptors as standardised by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). MapStorer will become an universal tool, that can be used on the client-side to provide thematic maps as well as for the configuration of the basic map service.

May 2005
With the first release 0.3 alpha MapStorer is made available for download on SourceForge on May 27th 2005.

April 2005
The first version of MapStorer shall be published under the GNU GPL in April 2005.

2005-02-21
The MapStorer project is registered at SourceForge.

2004-12-08
MapStorer will be licensed as free software under the GNU GPL and hostet at SourceForge.

The decision to completely revise the old version is reached.

The first "in-house" version is published. It is already based on the later architecture (MySQL, PHP).
